This is a very exciting article from The New York Times about Doug Lemov and his quest to make teachers better. A must read for anyone interested in teacher training!

After a successful career as a teacher, a principal and a charter-school founder, he was working as a consultant, hired by troubled schools eager — desperate, in some cases — for Lemov to tell them what to do to get better. Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 6:31PM I've been too busy to properly blog about my visit to London in January. Dr. Shuster and I were there at BETT (the British Education Training Technology) tradeshow. This is the world's largest education technology tradeshow.

At our lovely stand, we were not only providing demonstrations of IRIS Connect, but we were also thrilled to be unveiling the new IRIS hardware system and to be announcing our exclusive UK distribution partnership with Steljes.
We had a great time meeting the many, many education professionals that were anxious to learn more about IRIS Connect. We also had a wonderful time working with the amazing team at thereNow Europe and Steljes.

Introducing the new IRIS Connect hardware
Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 6:24PM I recently was invited by the UK's Teacher Development Agency (TDA) to visit Shanghai Normal University to explore the possibility of using IRIS Connect to enable the sharing of English and Mandarin language teaching expertise from the UK to China. We have engaged in a pilot project that should prove very interesting.
